Instructions for joining are below. The FAQ is here.
Requirements for joining the Beer Ring
Your site must be at least partially devoted to beer.
No pornographic sites will be accepted.
No "link sites". Many sites have a link page, which is good, but if your "content" is nothing but links, you won't be approved.
No "webring pages". I've seen sites that are part of over 10 webrings, and to consolidate them, they add them to one page with no other content. No good.
At this time we are not accepting sites strictly based upon homebrewing.
The Navigation Bar (see below) must be added to your site, and must stay on your site. I check all ring sites periodically, and if you remove the code, or move it to another URL in your site without updating your webring account, your site will be deleted from the ring, probably without warning.
The Ringmaster determines final eligibility.

Enter the requested information and click on "Sign me up".
Save your login id and password. You'll need this later.

You now have a webring id.
Adding your site to the Beer Ring
Now you have to add your site to the Beer Ring. Click here to do this.
Sign in with the id you just created.
Click on "Get started".
Enter your site info and click next.
Verify your info and click submit.
Adding the Navigation Bar Code
NOW LISTEN, THIS IS IMPORTANT: In order to be approved, I am requiring everyone to have the nav bar on your page first. This is so I know you are serious. To do this:
Get the code from the email you get after submitting your site. -OR-
Log into webring.
Click on "My Rings".
Click on "View Web Sites".
Click on the site title to edit.
Click on "Get Navigation Code".
Copy the code to your site, ON THE SITE URL YOU SUBMITTED. The system will automatically check for the nav bar, and if it isn't there (or on another page at your site) it will not be approved. This is the step most people miss.
Once you have submitted your site, I'll check it to make sure it matches the Beer Ring requirements, then add you to the ring.
I usually check new sites every few days. If you want it done sooner, post a message to our contact us page.
What if you already have a webring id?
Then follow the instructions above, but skip the sign up part (just sign IN), and if you already have a site in any other ring that is using the nav bar, you don't have to copy the code again. Any questions, email me.
