Battling an intensely hot fire after a cargo truck crashed on a Wyoming highway, emergency crews were surprised to find themselves being shot at - by corks from exploding wine bottles inside.

You would never have such problems with beer.

This quote just goes to show the age of the supposed reporter.

'The corks were popping out of the bottles like the old Jiffy Pop (popcorn) we grew up with,' Wyoming Highway Patrol Lt. Scott Keane said, bringing an unnecessarily obscure cultural reference into proceedings.

Or, it just screams that the reporter is a complete asshole who doesn't like the description the firefighters used. He would probably pooh-pooh the guy from Oklahoma that said the tornado sounded like a freight train.

What's a freight train?

It's another name for a linebacker for the Chicago Bears.

What's a freight train?

It's that biggish, longish thing that when it goes by you, it sounds like a tornado.

All the tornadoes I’ve been caught up in have been pretty loudish. I thought that went without saying.
