I have never been more underwhelmed about an article on seasonal beers. She interviewed a "beer expert," reported that a real Oktoberfest will have the word "Marzen" on the label, and then recommended 4 beers. One of which she misspelled.

It was so bad, I had to share it.

Geary’s Autumn

Flying Dog Oktobergest

South Hampton Public House

Dogfish Punkin Ale

Should be:

Geary’s Autumn Ale

Flying Dog Dogtoberfest

Southampton Publick House

Dogfish Head Punkin Ale

Wow, strong research skills. She managed to fuck up all of the names except Geary's.

Also, Southampton Publick House is not a beer. It's a brewpub.

What a worthless lazy piece of journalism.

It's almost as though she decided to research this by visiting her local retailer, where she remembers, "like, a shit load of beers being there," and asked the guy about Fall beers. After 10 minutes of him describing characteristics, she cut him off and said, "thanks, I think I have enough."

I have a feeling her career in writing will not progress much beyond what she's doing now. I hope she marries well, for her sake.

She probably could have learned as much by interviewing the guy who delivers her pizza.

You are, of course, assuming that she didn't.
