Station 33 Firehouse Red

Tim: If you ever find yourself in Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania, it's worth your while to drop in at the North Country Brewing Company. Great food and great beer! Or at least this beer is great. This is an incredibly smooth drinking red. You'll taste malt, hops, and something mildly peppery. But it's so well balanced that not one taste stands out. Excellent craft brewing, and indeed it tastes excellent because it's freshly brewed on sight. And my rating may be a little inflated for that reason. But if you take the time to make your way to this place you should be rewarded with some good fresh beer. This is a comfortable beer that I could enjoy on a regular basis. Some of the proceeds from the sale of this beer go to the local firehouse (No. 33), so it's good knowing that they help the community like that. I'm glad that I stumbled onto the place.
