Steve: This is, as I'm sure you could guess, a brown ale. This is also a 2001 gold medal winner for English syle Brown Ales at the GABF, so hopefully that is enough for most of you. It's a fairly easy beer to drink, with a nutty flavor, and a sweetness from the honey malt. Given this or Newcastle, I would go for this. Not my favorite Sweetwater, but worthy of a try. (1/24/2004)
