Steve: I have heard that this brewery redeems all Japanese beers, and that it's able to come close to European style beers. I'm here to say that at least for the Weizen, not so much. It definitely had the characteristics of a Weizen, but it was so damn sour, it was hard to drink. It was actually closer to a Berliner weisse, in that it would be a good substitute for any recipe requiring lemon juice. And to top it off, it was $6.99 for a one pint five ounce bottle, so it was just not worth the price at all. Maybe at half the price, I'd be more forgiving, but it wasn't that great a beer.
