Steve: OK, maybe there is something to the whole "green bottle theory" Hannover is not exactly across town. It was a little sour, a bit bitter (but that could be from being well hopped for preservation in exporting). And yes, it was a might skunky. Not as well preserved as Becks, I think. This is one of those beers that probably tastes pretty good at the source, but New Jersey is not the source (although the importer is located there), so maybe wait until you visit Das Vaterland, unless you are a true German beer fanatic.
